Our aspiration is to guide and inspire children to volunteer in South Florida at a young age, cultivating their giving side early on so in their adult life they will continue to serve.
We believe that keeping children involved in the community will shape them into independent, community-based individuals that have a sense of commitment in making the world a better place no matter the choice of career.
Having held several Board positions in the Corporate arena over the last decade, Ms. Fernandez-Abou felt frustrated with the volunteering options available for children.
In 2014, she and her children decided to chart their own course and create the Pack of Dogs portal. Utlizing her marketing knowledge and fueling her passion for children, the end product is a winning project for all: parents, children, charities, and the community at large.
Marie C. Fernandez-Abou is the acting Managing Partner of Imagery Creative Communications. She was honored with the ‘Hispanic Woman of Distinction’ Award in 2013, and is currently the President for AAF Miami, a position she is holding for the second consecutive year. Prior to Imagery, Marie was the VP of Marketing & Corporate Communications for Bayview Financial Trading Group. At Bayview, she managed the strategic marketing efforts of all eight-business units for the company. During the financial boom, campaigns created by her were unique and memorable in the investment-banking arena.
Prior to Bayview, she was Director of Marketing for SCG Ventures, a private venture capital firm. Her role was to create tactical marketing solutions for all of the firm’s investments. SCG Ventures’ enterprises included startup companies, restaurants, hotel chains, and a private bank.
While completing her graduate studies at the University of Miami, Marie began coordinating and promoting non-profit events for such organizations as the American Cancer Society, The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Coupled with corporate event experiences, she mastered the art of creating concepts for special events, handling everything from the themes to logistics, execution, and hosting of these events on a nationwide basis.
Advertising initiatives overseen by Marie have transcended the norm. Her acute marketing mind, knowledge of three languages, extensive travel, and cultural experiences, coupled with her education, position her perfectly within the unique South Florida market.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Florida State University and a Master of Arts in Marketing Communications, with honors, from the University of Miami.
