The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost. RMH facilities are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter to a family than healing their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
The LLF Adopt-A-Meal Program ensures that families staying at the Ronald McDonald House have nutritious meals catered to them while their child undergoes treatment at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Volunteers are tasked with setting up, distributing, and cleaning up during the meal, while entertaining those children and adults that wish to interact. Arrangements are made with local restaurants for delivery of the evening’s meal, and volunteers receive and setup the dinner for the RMH residents.
